Same five days, two rules
FTMO's own example: -$2,000, +$10,000, -$2,000, -$2,000, +$6,000.
| SabioTrade (55% of total) | FTMO 1-Step (50% of positive days) | |
|---|---|---|
| Total used | $10,000 (all days) | $16,000 (positive days) |
| Best day share | 100% | 62.5% |
| Passes the check? | No | No |
| Total needed | about $18,200 | $20,000 positive-day profit |
Because SabioTrade counts losing days in the total, the losing days hurt the ratio more there. A trader with many small losses meets FTMO's rule sooner than SabioTrade's.

Questions
Which consistency rule is stricter?
It depends on your losing days. SabioTrade's counts them, FTMO's does not.
Does breaking either rule fail the account?
No. Both require more trading before the pass.
Does FTMO 2-Step have a best day rule?
Not on its 2-Step objectives page as of 2 October 2026.
